How can 3D printing fabrication methods become more poetic?
circular3dDress is an exploration of the tensions between experimental garments and responsible behaviour in the context of an accelerating ephemeral fashion. The gesture of a making/doing hand and the accumulated textile waste are considered to seek the reconciliation of eco-responsibility and the expression of emotion.

The circular3dDress has lace-like flounced white
3D-printed doilies on the sides of the dress.
The doilies were co-created & studied
by two researchers, a fashion
designer & an engineer, to
analyze the drapability
of the recyclable
3D-printed
pieces.

circular3dDress was exhibited at the gallery Produit Rien, in Montreal, at the Rubix exhibition, in Toronto and at Milan Design Week.

“During Milan Design Week 2023, Isola is diving deep into the realm of regeneration, making it the
main focus of Isola Design Festival’s 6th edition. A call to start a chain reaction of change. Inspiring
all to rethink, regenerate, and remediate by gathering designers and design studios that have a
common mission of going further beyond the sustainable, to make something really happen. » (https://
