Work presented – handDress in becoming

Exploration of the tensions between experimental garments and responsible behaviour in the context of an accelerating ephemeral fashion. The gesture of a making/doing hand and the accumulated textile waste are considered to seek the reconciliation of eco-responsibility and the expression of emotion.

Work presented – circular3dDress

Emotion is driving this zero-waste cut dress. In the shape of a hand, the wearer is poetically wrapped in a dress that attempts to be eco-responsible. Fascinated by handmade work, I was inspired to create a slow-evolving dress that explores the enduring importance of knowledge of handwork.
